- वह बीमार नहीं है।
- वह कंप्यूटर नहीं चला रहा था।
- वे कभी आगरा नहीं जाते हैं।
- मेरे पास कुछ नहीं है।

- शिवम आगरा नहीं गया।
- मैं रोहन को पत्र नहीं लिखा है।

Note: ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में अंडर लाइन किए हुए शब्द नकारात्मक अर्थ रखते हैं, इन्हें Negative Words कहते हैं। इन शब्दों के प्रयोग से वाक्य नकारात्मक बन जाता है।

Negative Sentences in Hindi
Negative Sentence की परिभाषा: एक नकारात्मक वाक्य हमेशा नकारात्मक बयान देता है जिससे ज्ञात होता कि किसी व्यक्ति द्वारा कोई कार्य नहीं किया जा रहा है। जिस वाक्य में Subject द्वारा कोई कार्य ना होने से नकारा जाए वह वाक्य नकारात्मक कहलाता है।
जैसे –
1. मैं उसे नहीं जानता हूं।
I don’t know him.
2. श्याम यहां नहीं आ रहा है।
Shyam is not coming here
3. मैं कल उसके साथ नहीं था।
I was not with him yesterday.
4. रेखा ने अभी तक खाना नहीं पकाया है।
Rekha has not cooked the food yet.
5. इस मुख्यमंत्री की योजना उचित नहीं है।
This Chief Minister’s plan is not useless.

Negative Sentences with ‘is/am/are/was/were + not’
जिन वाक्यों में verb ‘to be’ की forms is/am/are तथा was/were के बाद not जोड़ने पर Sentence Negative बन जाता है।
Examples:
1. He is not a painter.
वह एक चित्रकार नहीं है।
2. I am not at the park.
मैं पार्क में नहीं था।
4. It is not available for public.
यह जनता के लिए उपलब्ध नहीं है।
3. We were not angry with you.
हम आपसे नाराज नहीं हैं।
4. There is not a red ball on the ground.
जमीन पर लाल गेंद नहीं है।
5. There are not four parts of this book.
इस पुस्तक के चार भाग नहीं हैं।
6. He was not poor.
वह गरीब नहीं था।
7. Those animals were not dangerous.
वे जानवर खतरनाक नहीं थे।
Has/have/had + not
Verb To be की forms has and have तथा had के बाद not या no जोड़कर Affirmative Sentences को Negative Sentences में बदलते हैं।

1. Rajesh has not a ball.
राजेश के पास एक गेंद नहीं है।
2. You have not a big fan.
तुम्हारे पास एक बड़ा पंखा नहीं है।
3. They have no sense.
उन्हें समझ नहीं है।
4. She has no money.
उसके पास धन नहीं है।
5. She hadn’t a good chance.
उसके पास एक अच्छा अवसर नहीं था।
Do/Does/Did + not
यदि वाक्य प्रजेंट इंडेफिनिट टेंस का है तो do/does के बाद not जोड़कर वाक्य को Negative Sentences बनाते हैं। Did not का प्रयोग Past Indefinite Tense के Affirmative Sentences को Negative बनाते हैं।
Examples:
1. I do not know this girl.
मैं इस लड़की को नहीं जानता हूं।
2. He does not look like her mother.
वह अपनी मां की तरह नहीं दिखता है।
3. Mohan does not fly a kite on the festival.
मोहन त्योहार पर पतंग नहीं उड़ाता है।
4. The king did not want to save people.
राजा लोगों को बचाना नहीं चाहता था।
Negative Sentences with Modal Auxiliary Verbs
यदि किसी sentence में माॅडल ऑग्ज़ीलियरी वर्ब का प्रयोग हो तो उसके बाद not जोड़कर बात को negative बनाते हैं।

वह तुम्हारे खिलाफ शिकायत नहीं कर सकता है।
2. She could not reach the office because of rain.
बारिश के कारण ऑफिस न पहुंच सका।
3. You may not disclose the contents of this file.
आप इस फ़ाइल की सामग्री का खुलासा नहीं कर सकते हैं।
4. It might not rain in our area today. हो सकता है कि आज हमारे क्षेत्र में बारिश न हो।
5. We should not disrespect our elders. हमें अपने से बड़ों का अनादर नहीं करना चाहिए।
6. You must not enter the hospital without a mask.
आपको बिना मास्क के अस्पताल में प्रवेश नहीं करना चाहिए।
7. I shall not pay you tomorrow.
मैं तुम्हें कल भुगतान नहीं करूंगा।
8. Jack will not fire on you.
जैक आप पर फायर नहीं करेगा।
9. He would not believe it if you told him.
अगर आपने उसे बताया तो वह विश्वास नहीं करेगा।
10. I need not talk to your guardians.
मुझे आपके अभिभावकों से बात करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।
11. She dare not come here.
उसने यहाँ आने की हिम्मत नहीं की।
Negative Sentences of Present Indefinite Tense
यदि साधारण वाक्य प्रेजेंट इंडेफिनिट टेंस का है तो उसे Negative बनाने के लिए do not/does not का प्रयोग सब्जेक्ट के अनुसार करते हैं।

1. He does not work with these men.
वह इन पुरुषों के साथ काम नहीं करता है।
2. You do not worship everyday.
तुम रोज पूजा नहीं करते।
3. Teena doesn’t like the American people.
टीना को अमेरिकी लोग पसंद नहीं हैं।
4. We don’t take a rest after recess.
हम अवकाश के बाद विश्राम नहीं करते हैं।
Negative Sentences of Present Continuous Tense
यदि वाक्य Present Continuous Tense का है तो helping verbs is/am/are के बाद not जोड़ते हैं।
Examples:
1. I am not running this company.
हम अवकाश के बाद विश्राम नहीं करते हैं।
2. Sita is not learning Urdu.
सीता उर्दू नहीं सीख रही है।
3. The boys are not chasing the thieves.
लड़के चोरों का पीछा नहीं कर रहे हैं।
4. Your dog is not barking at the stranger.
आपका कुत्ता अजनबी पर भौंक नहीं रहा है।
5. Vijay and Aman are not farming these days.
विजय और अमन इन दिनों खेती नहीं कर रहे हैं।
Present Perfect Tense Negative Sentences
Present Perfect Tense के Sentences में Helping Verb has/have के बाद not लगाकर वाक्य को Negative बनाते हैं।
Examples:
1. He has not delivered your parcels.
उसने आपके पार्सल नहीं पहुँचाए हैं।
2. They have not cleaned the bathroom yet.
उन्होंने अभी तक बाथरूम की सफाई नहीं की है।
3. Seema hasn’t shared anything with me.
सीमा ने मेरे साथ कुछ भी साझा नहीं किया है।
4. You haven’t already seen my friend.
आपने अभी तक मेरे दोस्त को नहीं देखा है।
Present Perfect Continuous Tense Negative Sentences
प्रेजेंट परफेक्ट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस के वाक्यों को Negative बनाने के लिए subject के बाद has not been/have not been का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Examples:
1. You have not been verifying my documents for thirty minutes.
आप तीस मिनट से मेरे दस्तावेज़ों का सत्यापन नहीं कर रहे हैं।
2. Teena has not been flying an aeroplane since morning.
टीना सुबह से हवाई जहाज नहीं उड़ा रही है।
3. The bus driver hasn’t been driving on this road since two o’clock.
बस चालक दो बजे से इस सड़क पर गाड़ी नहीं चला रहा है।
Past Indefinite Tense Negative Sentences
Did के बाद not लगाकर Past Indefinite Tense के Affirmative Sentences को Negative में बदलते हैं।
Examples:
1. I did not receive your email yesterday.
मुझे आपका ईमेल कल नहीं मिला।
2. Your cousin didn’t know me.
आपका चचेरा भाई मुझे नहीं जानता था।
3. He did not tell me everything.
उसने मुझे सब कुछ नहीं बताया।
Past Continuous Tense Negative Sentences
Past Continuous Tense के affirmative sentences को negative बनाने के लिए was तथा were के बाद not जोड़ते हैं।
Examples:
1. She was not buying food items for her children.
वह अपने बच्चों के लिए खाने का सामान नहीं खरीद रही थी।
2. The manager was not hiring us for his company.
प्रबंधक हमें अपनी कंपनी के लिए काम पर नहीं रख रहा था।
3. You were not washing your car when I came.
जब मैं आया तो तुम अपनी कार नहीं धो रहे थे।
Past Perfect Tense Negative Sentences
Past perfect tense के वाक्यों को नकारात्मक बनाने के लिए had not जोड़ते हैं। यदि वाक्य में बाद after आया है तो did not आता है।
Examples:
1. The farmer had not reaped his crop before it rained.
बारिश से पहले किसान ने अपनी फसल नहीं काटी थी।
2. Your son did not come after we had had dinner.
खाना खाने के बाद तुम्हारा बेटा नहीं आया।
3. Dad told me that he had not what a bicycle for me.
पिताजी ने मुझे बताया कि उनके पास मेरे लिए साइकिल नहीं है।
4. Our team had already arrived at the stadium.
हमारी टीम पहले ही स्टेडियम पहुंच चुकी थी।
Past Perfect Continuous Tense Negative Sentences
Affirmative Sentence को Negative बनाने के लिए Had not been का प्रयोग past perfect continuous Tense में होता है।
Examples:
1. The students had not been writing exams for 3 hours.
विद्यार्थी 3 घंटे से परीक्षा नहीं लिख रहे थे।
2. The gardener had not been watering the plants since evening.
माली शाम से पौधों को पानी नहीं दे रहा था।
3. The fisherman hadn’t been selling fish for two weeks.
मछुआरा दो सप्ताह से मछली नहीं बेच रहा था।
Future Indefinite Tense Negative Sentences (in Hindi)
Future Indefinite Tense का प्रयोग भविष्य के कार्यों का बोध कराने के लिए होता है। Helping verbs shall और will के बाद not जोड़कर Sentence को Negative बनाते हैं।
Examples:
1. We shall not choose him our president.
हम उन्हें अपना अध्यक्ष नहीं चुनेंगे।
2. I shall not publish the post tomorrow.
मैं कल पोस्ट प्रकाशित नहीं करूंगा।
3. Kabir will not inform you about this incident.
कबीर आपको इस घटना के बारे में सूचित नहीं करेंगे।
Future Continuous Tense Negative Sentences
फ्यूचर कंटीन्यूअस टेंस के वाक्यों को Negative बनाने के लिए will not be तथा shall not be का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Examples:
1. Gagan will not be preparing for examination.
गगन परीक्षा की तैयारी नहीं कर रहा होगा।
2. I shall not be studying in this college by June.
मैं जून तक इस कॉलेज में नहीं पढ़ हूंगा।
2. We shall not be running in the morning.
हम सुबह नहीं दौड़ रहे होंगे।
Future Perfect Tense Negative Sentences
Future Perfect Tense के Affirmative Sentences को Negative बनाने के लिए helping verb will not have तथा shall not have का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Examples:
1. The policeman will not have arrested the thieves before they run.
पुलिस चोरों के भागने से पहले उन्हें गिरफ्तार नहीं कर चुकी होगी।
2. The judge will not have punished the criminal by the end of this session.
न्यायाधीश ने इस सत्र के अंत तक अपराधी को सजा नहीं दी होगी।
3. We shall not have reached the mall before evening.
हम शाम से पहले मॉल नहीं पहुँच चुके होंगे।
Future Perfect Continuous Tense Negative Sentences
Future Perfect Continuous Tense के Affirmative Sentences को Negative बनाने के लिए shall not have been तथा will not have been

1. Raju will not have been talking to his parents for three hours.
राजू तीन घंटे से अपने माता-पिता से बात नहीं कर रहा होगा।
2. I shall not have been learning English from topprnation.in for two months.
मैं दो महीने से topprnation.in से अंग्रेजी नहीं सीख रहा होगा।

Important Rules for Negative Sentences in Hindi
Negative Sentences के Rules के अनुसार कुछ बाकी ऐसे होते हैं जिनमें Negative Words No या Not का प्रयोग ना हो करके कुछ अन्य शब्दों का प्रयोग होता है। अनेक शब्दों के साथ हमें helping के साथ not या no नहीं लगाते हैं।

8:00 बजे से यहां कोई काम नहीं कर रहा है।
6. She did nothing yesterday.
उसने कल कुछ नहीं किया।
7. Father was giving me nothing.
फादर मुझे कल कुछ नहीं दे रहे थे।
8. None but I was present in the meeting.
कोई नहीं बल्कि मैं बैठक में मौजूद था।
8. Few people arrived at the station.
स्टेशन पर न के बराबर ही लोग पहुंचे।
