Present Continuous Tense को हिंदी में सीखने के लिए सबसे पहले हमें इस टेंस की पहचान, मुख्य क्रिया, सहायक क्रिया तथा उदाहरणों के बारे में जानकारी होना आवश्यक है। इन सभी की जानकारी होने के बाद आपको टेंस सीखने में कोई कठिनाई नहीं होगी।

यदि आप टेंस सीख रहे हैं तो आपको टेंस क्रम से सीखना चाहिए सबसे पहले आपको Present Indefinite Tense सीखना चाहिए। उसके बाद Present Continuous Tense in Hindi सीखना चाहिए। क्रम में टेंस सीखने से जल्दी समझ आते हैं।

Present Continuous Tense in Hindi

Present Continuous Tense से हमें किसी ऐसे कार्य या घटना के वर्तमान में जारी होने का पता चलता है वह कार्य या घटना जो हमारी आंखों के सामने हो रहा हो। Present Continuous Tense में किसी कार्य या घटना का अपूर्ण होना पाया जाता है। इस टेंस को Present Progressive Tense के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। जैसे – राम पत्र लिख रहा है। सोहन गाना गा रहा है।

हिंदी में Continuous का अर्थ जारी होना या बिना रुके निरंतर होना होता है। इस Tense में कर्ता द्वारा कोई कार्य किया जाता है और बोलने के समय वह कार्य हमारी आंखों के सामने हो रहा होता है। उसी कार्य को इस Tense में अपूर्ण माना जाता है अतः इस टेंस का अर्थ हिंदी में अपूर्ण वर्तमान काल होता है।

Present Continuous Tense की पहचान

हिंदी वाक्यों की क्रियाओं के अंत में रहा है, रही है, रहे हैं, रहा हूं, हुआ है आदि आते हैं। किसी कार्य का लगातार जारी होना पाया जाता है। इस Present Continuous Tense को हिंदी में वर्तमान अपूर्ण काल कहते हैं। जैसे;

• मैं लिख रहा हूं। (I am writing)
• हम खेल रहे हैं। (We are playing.)
• तुम जा रहे हो। (You are going.)
• वे आ रहे हैं। (They are coming.)
• वह बैठा हुआ है। (He is sitting.)
• वह कल आगरा जा रहा है। (He is going to Agra.)
• पंछी उड़ रहे हैं। (The birds are flying.)
• बे हंस रहे हैं। (They are laughing.)
• आदमी बैठा हुआ है। (The man is sitting.)

उपरोक्त वाक्यों में क्रियाओं के अंत में रहा है, रही है, रहे हैं, रहा हूं आदि शब्द जुड़े हुए हैं। अतः इनसे स्पष्ट होता है कि ये वाक्य Present Continuous Tense के हैं। अगर आप सबसे आखरी वाले वाक्य को देखेंगे तो उसमें किसी व्यक्ति के कहीं जाने की बात कही जा रही है वह कल कहीं जा रहा है। इससे यह ज्ञात होता है कि इस वाक्य में घटना अभी हमारी आंखों के सामने नहीं घट रही है यह आने वाले भविष्य में घटेगी अर्थात यह Tense Future Reference के लिए भी प्रयोग किया जाता है। Present Continuous Tense Examples in Hindi से संबंधित सभी वाक्यों के स्ट्रक्चर को आगे दिया गया है।

मुख्य क्रिया (Main Verb)

Present Continuous Tense की मुख्य क्रिया की I Form का प्रयोग करते हैं। इसके साथ ing भी जोड़ते हैं। जैसे;

• Go – going
• Eat – eating
• Drive – Driving
• Fly – Flying

Main verb में ing जोड़ने के नियम

(1) यदि किसी Verb के अंत में कोई व्यंजन (consonant) आए और उससे पहले कोई Vowel आये तो आखरी Letter को Double करके उसमें ing जोड़ते हैं। जैसे;

• Dig +ing = Digging
• Cut + ing = Cutting
• Hit + ing = Hitting
• Begin + ing = Beginning
• Put + ing = Putting
• Set + ing = Setting

(2) यदि किसी Verb के अंत में ‘ie’ जुड़ा हो, तो ie की जगह y लगाकर ing जोड़ देते हैं। जैसे;

• Lie + ing = Lying
• Vie +ing = Vying
• Tie + ing = Tying
• Die + ing = Dying

(3) जिन Verbs के अंतिम Letter ‘ e ‘ हो तो को ‘ e’ को हटाकर ing जोड़ा जाता है। जैसे;

• Drive + ing = Driving
• Leave + ing = Leaving
• Write + ing = Writing
• Save + ing = Saving
• Live + ing = Living
• Dive + ing = Diving

(4) यदि verb के अंत में ee आये तो उसमें e नहीं हटाते हैं और उसमें ing जोड़ देते हैं।

• See – Seeing
• Agree – Agreeing
• Flee – Fleeing
• Disagree – Disagreeing

सहायक क्रिया (Helping Verb)

इस टेंस की सहायक क्रिया (Helping Verb) is, am, are होती है।

(1) Singular Subjects (Singular Nouns या Pronouns) के साथ is का प्रयोग करते हैं।

• He is running.
• She is weeping.
• It is raining.
• Ramu is going
• The cow is grazing.
• The boy is swimming.
• The girl is dancing.

(2) Plural Subjects (Plural Nouns या  Pronouns) के साथ are का प्रयोग करते हैं।

• You are waiting.
• We are playing.
• They are coming.
• The boys are cleaning.
• The girls are singing.
• The boys are reading.
• Those dogs are barking.

(3) Am का प्रयोग I के साथ किया जाता है।

• I am studying.
• I am walking.

ऊपर दिए गए sentences में singular subjects (एकवचन कर्ता) के साथ is का प्रयोग किया गया है तथा Plural Subjects (बहुवचन कर्ता) के साथ are का प्रयोग किया गया है तथा I के साथ am का प्रयोग किया गया है।

Affirmative Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)

Affirmative sentence बनाने के लिए नीचे sentence structure दिया गया है। इसके अनुसार नीचे दिए गए steps को follow करते हैं।

• हम subject को सबसे पहले रखते हैं।
• उसके बाद कर्ता के अनुसार is, am या are का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
• Helping Verb रखने के बाद हम मुख्य क्रिया की First form में ing जोड़कर रखते हैं।
• अंत में verb के बाद object को रखते हैंं।
• यदि वाक्य में कोई अन्य शब्द तो उन्हें वाक्य के अंत में रखते हैं।

Structure: Subject + is/am/are + verb I + ing + object + other words

Examples:

1. वह पतंग उड़ा रहा है।
He is flying a kite.

2. वह कहानी लिख रही है।
She is writing a story.

3. आज बरसात हो रही है।
It is raining today.

4. लड़का अपने कमरे में सो रहा है।
The boy is sleeping in his room.

5. गाय घास खा रही है।
The cow is eating the grass.

6. वे मैदान में क्रिकेट खेल रहे हैं।
They are playing cricket in the field.

7. तुम गणित के प्रश्न हल कर रहे हो।
You are solving the questions of mathematics.

8. मैं उसकी मदद कर रहा हूं।
I am helping him.

9. मेरे दादा जी इस समय रामायण पढ़ रहे हैं।
My grandfather is reading the Ramayana now.

10. ये लड़के शोर कर रहे हैं।
These boys are making a noise.

11. तुम्हारे दादा जी छाता खरीद रहे हैं।
Your grandfather is buying a new umbrella.

12. वह पानी ला रहा है।
He is bringing water.

13. वैज्ञानिक कोरोनावायरस की वैक्सीन की खोज कर रहे हैं।
Scientists are searching for the coronavirus vaccine.

14. लोग इस जंगल से होकर जा रहे हैं।
People are going through this forest.

15. कोई दरवाजा खटखटा रहा है।
Someone is knocking at the door.

16. आज वह अपने गांव जा रहा है।
He is going to his village today.

17. श्याम अपनी गलती मान रहा है।
Shyam is accepting his mistake.

18. तुम्हारा भाई नई कंपनी की स्थापना कर रहा है।
Your brother is establishing a new company.

19. पिताजी मंदिर में पूजा कर रहे हैं।
Father is worshipping in the temple.

20. सोहन नई तस्वीरें खरीद रहा है।
Sohan is buying the new pictures.

21. वे जंगल के जानवरों को पकड़ रहे हैं।
They are capturing the animals of the forest.

22. राजा आक्रमण करने की तैयारी कर रहा है।
The king is preparing to attack.

23. वह 5:00 बजे फल तोड़ने जा रहा है।
He is going to pluck fruits at 5:00 o’clock.

24. सोहन जंगल से लकड़िया ला रहा है।
Sohan is bringing wood from the forest.

25. यह अभ्यर्थी अपने इंटरव्यू की तैयारी कर रहे हैं।

Negative Sentences of Present Continuous Tense

नकारात्मक वाक्य उन वाक्यों कहा जाता है, जिनमें नहीं या ना जैसे शब्दों का प्रयोग होता है। नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए Sentence Structure तथा rules नीचे दिया गया है।

• सबसे पहले वाक्य का subject रखते हैं।
• उसके बाद कर्ता के अनुसार helping verb ‘is/am/are रखते हैं।
• Is/am/are के बाद not रखते हैं।
• अब मुख्य क्रिया की first form में ing जोड़ कर रखते हैं।
• इसके बाद कर्म (object) रखते हैं।
• अब अन्य शब्दों (other words) को लिखते हैं।
• अंत में full stop लगाते हैं।

Structure: Subject + is/am/are + not + verb I + ing + object + other words

Examples:

1. वह अपने गांव नहीं जा रहा है।
He is not going to his village.

2. वह रसोई में खाना नहीं पका रही है।
She is not cooking the food in the kitchen.

3. रेखा अपना पाठ याद नहीं कर रही है।
Rekha is not learning her lesson.

4. रोहन इस समय गाने नहीं सुन रहा है।
Rohan is not listening to the songs now.

5. तुम विद्यालय नहीं जा रहे हो।
You are not going to school.

6. हम सड़क पर नहीं दौड़ रहे हैं।
We are not running on the road.

7. किसान फसल नहीं काट रहे हैं।
The farmers are not reaping the crops.

8. जानवर नहीं दौड़ रहे हैं।
The animals are not running.

9. बच्चे विद्यालय से नहीं लौट रहे हैं।
The children are not returning from the school.

10. ड्राइवर स्कूल बस धीरे नहीं चला रहा है।
Th driver is not driving the school bus slowly.

11. वह कंपनी के नियमों को नहीं समझा रहा है।
He is not explaining the rules of company.

12. कुछ लोग उसे गाली दे रहे हैं।
Some people are abusing him.

13. तुम्हारा परिवार आज दिल्ली नहीं जा रहा है।
Your family is not going to Delhi today.

14. उसकी छोटी बहन अपने कपड़े नहीं दे रही है।
His younger sister is not washing her clothes.

15. हमारे देश के प्रधानमंत्री आज भाषण नहीं दे रहे हैं।
The prime minister of our country is not delivering a speech today.

16. मैं हिंदी में प्रेजेंट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस नहीं सीख रहा हूं।
I am not learning the present continuous tense in Hindi.

16. शिकारी जंगल में नहीं भटक रहा है।
The Hunter is not wandering in the forest.

17. मेरे पड़ोसी का कुत्ता आज नहीं भोंक रहा है।
My neighbor’s dog is not barking today.

18. वह आज कहानी नहीं सुना रहा है।
He is not telling a story today.

19. लड़के यह मैच नहीं खेल रहे हैं।
The boys are not playing this match.

20. श्याम आपको सच नहीं बता रहा है।
Shyam is not telling you the truth.

21. श्याम कल मुंबई नहीं जा रहा है।
Shyam is not going to Mumbai tomorrow.

22. वह मुझे सही सलाह नहीं दे रहा है।
He is not giving me the right advice.

23. विक्रम अपनी कार नहीं बेच रहा है।
Vikram is not selling his car.

24. राजू आप को आमंत्रित नहीं कर रहा है।
Raju is not inviting you.

25. अब मैं इस नगर में नहीं रह रहा हूं।
I am no longer living in this city.

Interrogative Sentences of Present Continuous Tense

Present Continuous Tense की प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य बनाने के दो दो तरह के होते हैं पहले Yes-No Type Questions तथा दूसरे Wh-word Type Questions.

Yes-No Type Interrogative Sentences

यदि हिंदी प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य ‘क्या’ शब्द से शुरू है तो उसकी अंग्रेजी ना लगा कर Subject के अनुसार हेल्पिंग वर्ब को वाक्य के प्रारंभ में लिखते हैं।

• सबसे पहले कर्ता के अनुसार सहायक क्रिया is/am/are को ‘क्या’ की अंग्रेजी की जगह रखते हैं।
• उसके बाद कर्ता (subject) रखते हैं
• कर्ता के बाद मुख्य क्रिया की फर्स्ट फॉर्म में ing जोड़ कर रखते हैं।
• अब कर्म (object) रखते हैं
• कर्म के बाद अन्य शब्दों (other words) को रखते हैं
• अंत में प्रश्नवाचक चिन्ह (question mark) लगाते हैं।

Structure: Is/Am/Are + subject + verb I + ing + object + other words + ?

Examples:

1. क्या वह सो रहा है?
Is he sleeping?

2. क्या राधा मुझे बुला रही है?
Is Radha calling me?

3. क्या आज बरसात हो रही है?

Wh-words Interrogative Sentences

Present Continuous Tense के Hindi वाक्यों के बीच में जब कोई प्रश्नवाचक शब्द आता है तो वह वाक्य wh-word type question कहलाता है। ऐसे वाक्यों को Hindi से English में Translate करने के लिए नीचे दिए गए सेंटेंस स्ट्रक्चर तथा नियमों को फॉलो करते हैं।

• यदि कोई ‘प्रश्नवाचक शब्द’ वाक्य के बीच में आए तो उस प्रश्नवाचक शब्द की अंग्रेजी वाक्य के प्रारंभ में लगाते हैं।
• सबसे पहले हिंदी वाक्य में आए हुए प्रश्न वाचक शब्द की अंग्रेजी रखते हैं।
• उसके बाद कर्ता के अनुसार is/am/are रखते हैं।
• अब subject रखते हैं।
• सब्जेक्ट के बाद मुख्य क्रिया verb I में ing जोड़कर लिखते हैं।
• मुख्य क्रिया के बाद कर्म रखते हैं।
• कर्म के बाद अन्य शब्द रखते हैं
• वाक्य के अंत में प्रश्नवाचक चिन्ह लगाते हैं।

Structure: Wh-word + Is/am/are + subject + verb I + ing + object + other words + ?

1. राजीव क्यों हंस रहा है?

2. तुम कहां जा रहे हो?

3. वे क्या कर रहे हैं?

6. राजा अपने दुश्मनों पर आक्रमण कैसे कर रहा है?

7. यह लड़का कहां जा रहा है?

8. मैं तुम्हें क्या दे रहा हूं?

9. तुम्हें कौन बुला रहा है?

Interrogative Negative Sentences of Present Continuous Tense

जो वाक्य क्या से शुरू होते हैं तथा उनमें नहीं शब्द आता है या जिन वाक्यों के बीच में प्रश्नवाचक शब्द आता है तथा नहीं भी आता है। ऐसे वाक्य Present Continuous Tense के Interrogative Negative Sentences कहलाते हैं।

ऐसे वाक्यों को बनाने के लिए हमें subject के बाद Not का प्रयोग करना पड़ता है तथा बचे हुए परिवर्तन ऊपर दिए गए नियमों के अनुसार किए जाते हैं।

Yes-No Type Negative Questions (क्या वाले नकारात्मक वाक्य)

Examples:

1. क्या तुम उसकी मदद नहीं कर रहे हो?
Are you not helping him?

2. क्या वह आज अंग्रेजी नहीं पढ़ रहा है?
Is he not reading English today?

3. क्या तुम रामायण नहीं पढ़ रहे हो ?
Are you not reading English?

4. क्या वे मैदान में नहीं खेल रहे हैं?
Are they not playing in the field?

5. तुम अपना पाठ याद क्यों नहीं कर रहे हो?
Why are you not learning your lesson?

6. क्या शिकारी शिकार नहीं कर रहा है?
Is the hunter not hunting?

7. क्या राजा अपने दुश्मनों को माफ नहीं कर रहा है?
Is the king not forgiving his enemies?

8. क्या भारत के प्रधानमंत्री जी लाल किले पर भाषण नहीं दे रहे हैं?
Isn’t the Prime Minister of India giving a speech at the Red Fort?

9. क्या तुम इस अजनबी व्यक्ति से झगड़ा नहीं कर रहे हो? Aren’t you quarreling with this stranger?

10. क्या वह कानपुर से वापस नहीं आ रहा है?

Wh-word Type Negative Questions (प्रश्नवाचक शब्द वाले नकारात्मक वाक्य)

1. वे अपने अभिभावकों से बात क्यों नहीं कर रहे हैं?
Why are they not talking to their parents?

2. अब बारिश क्यों नहीं हो रही है?
Why is it not raining now?

3. कौन तुम्हारी सहायता नहीं कर रहा है?
Who is not helping you?

4. वे रास्ते से क्यों नहीं हट रहे हैं?

5. तुम्हारी समस्या को कौन नहीं सुलझा रहा है?
Who is not solving your problem?

6. वह आज विद्यालय क्यों नहीं जा रहा है?

7. तुम्हारे दादा जी क्यों नहीं टहल रहे हैं?
Why is your grandfather not taking a walk?

8. वह बाजार से कौन सी पुस्तके नहीं खरीद रहा है?

9. तुम उसे अंदर क्यों नहीं जाने दे रहे हो?

Uses of Present Continuous Tense in Hindi

Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग निम्नलिखित बातों को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है, इन्हें ध्यान से पढ़ें और समझें:

(A) Present Continuous Tense से हमें पता चलता है कि कोई कार्य अभी जारी है और पूरा नहीं हुआ है अर्थात अपूर्ण है।

जैसे;

1. वह खाना पका रही है।
She is cooking the food.

2. बच्चे क्रिकेट खेल रहे हैं।
The children are playing cricket.

3. सूर्य पश्चिम में छिप रहा है।
The sun is setting in the west.

4. लड़कियां शोर कर रही हैं।
The girls are making a noise.

5. राजू अपने कपड़े धो रहा है।
Raju is washing his clothes.

6. सोहन चाकू खरीद रहा है।

(B) Present Continuous Tense के प्रयोग से किसी ऐसे अस्थाई कार्य का वर्णन करते करते हैं जो वास्तव में सामने नहीं हो रहा हो, लेकिन हो रहा है।

जैसे;

1. वे किराए के घर में रह रहे हैं।
They are living in the rented house.

2. मेरा भाई महाभारत पढ़ रहा है।
My brother is reading the Mahabharata.

3. मैं आजकल उपन्यास पढ़ रहा हूं।
I am reading a novel these days.

4. श्याम इंटर कॉलेज में अंग्रेजी पढ़ा रहा है।
He is not going to work these days.

5. वह आजकल काम पर नहीं जा रहा है।
He is not going to work these days.

Note – ऊपर दिए हुए वाक्यों से पता चलता है कि बोलते समय यह काम नहीं हो रहा है लेकिन उपयुक्त समय के आसपास हो रहा है।

(C) Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग उस कार्य के लिए होता है जिसके निकट भविष्य में होने की योजना पहले ही कर दी गई हो अर्थात वह कार्य पूर्व-सुनियोजित है।

जैसे;

1. मैं आज रात दिल्ली जा रहा हूं।
I am going to New Delhi tonight.

2. तुम्हारा भाई कल घर आ रहा है।
Your brother is coming home tomorrow.

3. भारत के प्रधानमंत्री अगले सप्ताह ऑस्ट्रेलिया जा रहे हैं।
The prime minister of India is going to Australia next week.

4. मेरी पत्नी इस शाम को गा रही है।
My wife is singing this evening.

5. वह कल पटना के लिए निकल रहा है।
He is leaving for Patna tomorrow.

(C) Present Continuous Tense का प्रयोग इरादा (intention) या संभावना (possibility) का बोध कराने के लिए is/am/are + going to का प्रयोग होता है।

जैसे;

1. मैं एक कार खरीदने जा रहा हूं।
I am going to buy a car. (इरादा)

2. वह पाठ याद करने जा रहा है।
He is going to learn the lesson. (इरादा)

3. बरसात होने जा रही है।
It is going to rain. (संभावना)

4. श्याम लड़ने जा रहा है।
Shyam is going to fight. (संभावना)

5. मैं अब टीवी देखने जा रहा हूं। (इरादा)
I am going to watch tv.

(E) निम्नलिखित क्रियाओं का प्रयोग Present Continuous Tense में नहीं होता है। इनका प्रयोग Present Indefinite Tense में होता है।

जैसे – see, hear, smell, taste, seem, look, love, hate, like, feel, hope, accept, admit, believe, know, trust, have,own, contain, need, etc.
