Past Perfect Continuous tense में समय का वर्णन होता है अर्थात हमें ज्ञात होता है कि हिंदी वाक्यों में या अंग्रेजी के वाक्यों में किसी घटना या कार्य कब प्रारंभ हुआ और कब से चल रहा था। Past perfect continuous tense in Hindi का Sentence Structure ठीक Present Perfect Continuous Tense की तरह ही है। इसमें Has been तथा Have been की जगह had been का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

अगर आप इस tense को पहली बार सीख रहे हैं तो आप से ध्यान से पढ़ें और समझें और यदि आप रिवीजन के लिए पढ़ रहे हैं तो आप कुछ स्टेप्स को skip कर सकते हैं। चलिए आगे के नियमों को पढ़ते हैं।

With Past Perfect Continuous Tense, we know that action was started and continued in the past, that is, the work was complete. Time is also described in this tense.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense से हमें ज्ञात होता है कि कोई कार्य भूतकाल में शुरू हुआ था और जारी था अर्थात कार्य पूर्ण था। इस Tense में समय का वर्णन भी होता है। Past Perfect Continuous Tense का Hindi में पूर्ण अपूर्ण भूतकाल कहते हैं।

जैसे – रमन 3:00 बजे से सो रहा था।

उपरोक्त वाक्य में रमन के द्वारा सोने का कार्य 3:00 बजे भूतकाल में शुरू हुआ था और वह कार्य जारी था अर्थात कब तक चला, यह ज्ञात नहीं है। इस टेंस में सब्जेक्ट द्वारा किए गए कार्यों के समय के बारे में अपूर्ण जानकारी होती है।

Past Perfect Continuous Tense की पहचान –

Past Perfect Continuous Tense के हिंदी वाक्यों की क्रियाओं के अंत में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे, हुआ था आदि शब्द आते हैं तथा समय दिया होता है। ऐसे वाक्यों में कार्य भूतकाल में शुरू होने तथा आगे जारी रहने का बोध होता है। जैसे;

  • वह 2 घंटे से रामायण पढ़ रहा था।
  • सोहन 4:00 बजे से मैच खेल रहा था।
  • पिताजी सुबह से अखबार पढ़ रहे थे।
  • रामू 2:00 बजे से फसल काट रहा था।
  • वह 2012 से कानपुर में रह रहा था।
  • हम 1995 से यहां रह रहे थे।
  • रोहन कुछ सप्ताह से विद्यालय नहीं आ रहा था।
  • क्या तुम 2:00 से इन लोगों से बात कर रहे थे?
  • बंदर 2 घंटे से पेड़ पर बैठा हुआ था

Note: ऊपर दिए गए हिंदी वाक्यों की क्रियाओं के अंत में रहा था रही थी, रहे थे, हुआ था तथा समय दिया गया है। यदि आप पास्ट परफेक्ट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस के अंग्रेजी वाक्यों को पहचानना चाहते हैं तो ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों के ट्रांसलेशन नीचे दिए गए हैं उन्हें ध्यान से पढ़ें और समझें।

  • He had been reading Ramayana for 2 hours.
  • Sohan had been playing the match since 4:00.
  • Father had been reading newspaper since morning.
  • Ramu had been harvesting the crop since 2:00.
  • He had been living in Kanpur since 2012.
  • We had been living here since 1995.
  • Rohan had not been coming to school for a few weeks.
  • Had you been talking to these people since 2:00?
  • The monkey had been sitting on the tree for 2 hours.

Helping Verb – Had been

Main Verb – Verb I + ing

Note –

1. Singular Nouns या Singular Subjects या Singular Nouns के साथ Had been तथा Plural Subjects या Plural Nouns के साथ भी Had been का प्रयोग करते हैं।

2. निश्चित समय (Point of Time) के लिए Since तथा अनिश्चित समय (Period of Time) के लिए For का प्रयोग करते हैं।

The boy had been Ram and Shyam had been

Affirmative Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)

Present Perfect Continuous Tense के affirmative sentences को बनाने के लिए नीचे दिए गए Sentence Structure तथा Steps के अनुसार वाक्य बनाते हैं।

Steps:

  • सबसे पहले वाक्य का सब्जेक्ट रखते हैं।
  • उसके बाद helping verb – had been लगाते हैं।
  • Helping verb के बाद मुख्य क्रिया की फर्स्ट फॉर्म में ing जोड़कर लगाते हैं।
  • उसके बाद object रखते हैं।
  • ऑब्जेक्ट के बाद अन्य शब्दों को लगाया जाता है।
  • उसके बाद since या for रखते हैं।
  • उसके बाद समय लगाते हैं।
  • अंत में full stop लगाते हैं।

Structure: Subject + had been + Main Verb I + ing + object + other words + since/for + time.

Examples –

1. वह सुबह से पढ़ रहा था।
He had been reading since morning.

2. मैं 2 घंटे से टहल रहा था।
I had been walking for 2 hours.

3. वह 3:00 बजे से कमरा साफ कर रही थी।
She had been cleaning the room since 3 o’clock.

4. राधा शाम से पिताजी का इंतजार कर रही थी।
Radha had been waiting for father since evening.

5. हम 2 घंटे से पार्क में खेल रहे थे।
We had been playing in the park for 2 hours.

6. वे 1:00 बजे से गांव में रुके हुए थे।
They had been staying in the village since one o’clock.

7. हम 1 घंटे से कपड़े धो रहे थे।
He had been washing the clothes for an hour.

8. वह शाम से तुम्हारा इंतजार कर रहा था।
He had been waiting for you since evening.

9. हम 2 घंटे से यहां बैठे हुए थे।
We had been sitting here for 2 hours.

10. यह लड़की 2 साल से नृत्य सीख रही थी।
This girl had been learning dance for two years.

11. वह मैदान में 2 घंटे से अपनी गाय चरा रहा था।
He had been raising his cow in the field for 2 hours.

12. तुम्हारी दादी सुबह से मंदिर में पूजा कर रही थी।
Your grandmother had been worshipping in the temple since morning.

13. मैं उसे 2:00 बजे से अंग्रेजी सिखा रहा था।
I had been teaching him English since 2 o’clock.

14. राजू 2 घंटे से हरी सब्जियां बेच रहा था।
Raju had been selling green vegetables for 2 hours.

15. यह लड़की 1 सप्ताह से विद्यालय आ रही थी।
This girl had been coming to the school for a week.

Negative Sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)

Past Perfect Continuous tense के negative sentences बनाने के लिए नीचे दिए गया सेंटेंस स्ट्रक्चर फॉलो करते हैं।

Structure: Subject + Had not been + Verb I + ing + object + other words + since/for + time.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense बनाने के लिए Had not been या hadn’t been लिखते हैं।

Examples:

1. बच्चे सुबह से अखबार नहीं पढ़ रहे थे।
The children had not been reading the newspaper since morning.

2. सीता 2 घंटे से कपड़े नहीं सिल रही थी।
Sita had not been sewing the clothes for 2 hours.

3. मैं सुबह से अंग्रेजी नहीं सीख रहा था।
I had not been learning English since morning.

4. मिस्टर शर्मा 4 सालों से यहां नहीं रह रहे थे।
Mr. Sharma had not been living here for four years.

5. वे 2:00 बजे से गाना नहीं गा रहे थे।
They had not been singing a song since two o’clock.

6. वह लड़का 1 सप्ताह से विद्यालय नहीं आ रहा था।
That boy had not been coming to school for a week.

7. मीरा 2:00 बजे से संगीत नहीं सीख रही थी।
Mira had not been learning music since two o’clock.

8. अध्यापक 2 घंटे से अंग्रेजी नहीं पढ़ा रहा था।
The teacher had not been teaching English for 2 hours.

9. हमारा भाई हमें बहुत देर से पैसे नहीं दे रहा था।
Our brother had not been giving us money for a long time.

10. मैं यहां 4 सप्ताह से नहीं रुका हुआ था।
I had not been staying here for four weeks.

11. राजू 2 घंटे से फिल्म नहीं देख रहा था।
Raju had not been watching the movie for 2 hours.

12. मैं सुबह से आपका इंतजार नहीं कर रहा था
I had not been waiting for you since morning.

13. तुम्हारा भाई कुछ दिनों से यहां नहीं आ रहा था।
Your brother had not win coming here for several days.

14. ये बच्चे बहुत देर से शोर नहीं कर रहे थे।
These children had not been making a noise for a long time.

15. मैं 2 महीने से अंग्रेजी नहीं सीख रहा था।
I had not been learning English for 2 months.

Structure: Had + subject + been + Verb I + ing + object + other words + since/for + time +?

Examples –

5. क्या हम रात से इस बूढ़े व्यक्ति की मदद कर रहे थे?

7. क्या लड़की बहुत देर से गणित के प्रश्न हल कर रही थी?
Had the girl been solving the questions of mathematics for a long time?

8. क्या तुम सुबह से पूजा कर रहे थे?
Head you been worshipping since morning?

Second Type – Wh-words Interrogative Sentences

Structure: Question word + had + subject + been + Verb I + ing + object + other words + since/for + time +?

Examples –

1. दादाजी शाम से क्या कर रहे थे?
What had the grandfather been doing since evening?

2. हम 3 घंटे से किसका इंतजार कर रहे थे?
Whom had we been waiting for 3 hours?

3. राजू 2 घंटे से कौन सा उपन्यास पढ़ रहा था?
Which novel had Raju been reading for two hours?

4. तुम्हारा भाई रात से कौन सी फिल्म देख रहा था?
Which film had your brother been watching since night?

5. उसका मित्र कब से स्टेशन पर खड़ा हुआ था?
How long had your friend been standing at the station?

6. उसकी बहन 2 घंटे से स्टेशन पर क्या कर रही थी?
What had his sister been doing at the station for 2 hours?

7. बच्चे शनिवार से क्या सीख रहे थे?
What had the children been learning since Saturday?

8. रेखा 1 महीने से कहां जा रही थी?

प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक वाक्य में हम Subject के बाद Not का प्रयोग करते हैं।

Examples –

1. क्या वह 2 सप्ताह से कॉलेज नहीं जा रहा था?
Had he not going to college for two weeks?

2. क्या लीला 1 महीने से यहां नहीं आ रही थी?
Had Leela not been coming here for a month?

3. क्या धोबी दो सप्ताह से कपड़े नहीं धो रहा था?

9. वह 2 महीने से तुम्हें यहां क्यों नहीं मिल रहा था?
Why had he not been meeting here for 2 months?

10. दुकानदार दो सप्ताह से अपनी दुकान क्यों नहीं खोल रहा था?
Why had the shopkeeper not been opening his shop for two weeks?

8. यात्री 3 घंटे से रेलगाड़ी का इंतजार नहीं कर रहे थे।
9. यह ड्राइवर 10 मिनट से गाड़ी तेज नहीं चला रहा था।
10. तुम्हारी बहन की एक सप्ताह से अंग्रेजी नहीं सीख रही थी।

    • You can improve your English if you use and practice it in your daily life. You should try to frame more and more sentences. Find out your mistakes and improve them by studying grammar rules.
