Use of would in Hindi (would का प्रयोग हिंदी में)

Would का प्रयोग उन वाक्यों के लिए होता है जिनके अंत में किया करता था, किया करती थी, किया करते थे, चाहूंगा, चाहूंगी, चाहेंगे, करेंगे, करूंगा, करूंगी, लगेगा, लगेगी, लगेंगे, ता रहा होता, ती रही होती, ती रहे होते आदि शब्द आने पर होता है। भूतकाल की आदत, इच्छा, संभावना तथा विनम्र निवेदन के लिए इसका प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Past Tense of ‘Will’

Would का प्रयोग will के past tense के रूप में होता है। इसका यह प्रयोग इनडायरेक्ट स्पीच (indirect speech) में होता है।

Use of ‘Would like to’ for Polite Request

वर्तमान में विनम्र निवेदन करने के लिए का प्रयोग करते हैं। Would का प्रयोग प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य में पोलाइट रिक्वेस्ट को व्यक्त करने के लिए होता है। वाक्य को would you like to या would you please से शुरु करते हैं।

Preference (वरीयता/प्राथमिकता/पसंद) के लिए

Would का प्रयोग वरीयता, प्राथमिकता या पसंद को व्यक्त करने के लिए करते हैं। ऐसे प्रयोग में would के साथ rather का प्रयोग होता है।

‘Probability’ (संभावना) को व्यक्त करने के लिए would का प्रयोग करते हैं।

Wish (इच्छा)

Would का प्रयोग wish (इच्छा) को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है।

Use of would in conditional sentences

Would का प्रयोग शर्त वाचक वाक्य में होता है। Would का प्रयोग improbable condition तथा impossible condition को व्यक्त करने के लिए करते हैं।

Would in Second Conditional Sentences

जिन वाक्यों में इंप्रोबेबल कंडीशन पाई जाती है उसमें ऐसी शर्त होती है जो पूरी नहीं होगी। ऐसे वाक्यों को बनाते समय if वाले मुख्य उपवाक्य को पास्ट टेंस में तथा दूसरे मुख्य वाक्य को would + verb I से बनाते हैं।

Would in the Third Conditional Sentences

Third Conditional Sentences में असंभव सर्च पाई जाती है जिससे इंपॉसिबल कंडीशन कहते हैं। ऐसी शर्त वाचक वाक्यों के if वाले मुख्य उपवाक्य had + verb III तथा दूसरे मुख उपवाक्य में Subject + would have + verb III का प्रयोग करते हैं।

1. यदि वह बस से गया होता, तो जल्दी पहुंच जाता।
He had gone by bus, he would have reached early.

2. यदि राजा अपनी सेना के साथ जाता तो उसे कोई नहीं हरा पाता।

3. यदि उसने मेरी बात मानी होती तो वह इस केस में नहीं फंसता।

Would का प्रयोग Imagination वाले वाक्यों में

Rule – 1 Imagination अर्थात कल्पना वाले वाक्य होते हैं जिनमें कोई ऐसी शर्त पाई जाती है, जिसमें किसी व्यक्ति द्वारा कुछ करने की कल्पना की जाती है। लेकिन वास्तविकता में ऐसा होता नहीं है।

Structure: If + I/he/she + were + noun/adjective, I/he/she + would + verb + object.

Examples:

1. यदि मैं राजा होता तो मैं एक बड़ा महल बनाता।
If I were the king, I would build a palace.

2. यदि मैं तुम्हारा अध्यापक होता तो मैं तुम्हें अच्छी तरह अंग्रेजी सिखाता।
If I were your teacher, I would teach you English well.

3. यदि वह इस कंपनी का मैनेजर होता तो वह सबके लिए अच्छी सैलरी ऑफर करता।
If he were the manager of this company, he would offer a good salary to everyone.

4. यदि मैं उसका पिता होता तो मैं उसे यह नहीं करने देता।
If I were his father, I would not let him do it.

Rule – 2 कुछ शर्त वाचक वाक्य If + subject + had से भी प्रारंभ होते हैं। ऐसे वाक्यों में किसी व्यक्ति के पास कुछ होने ना होने का बोध होता है। इनके दूसरे उपवाक्य में would का प्रयोग (use of would) होता है।

Affirmative Sentences of Would

Negative Sentences

Negative Sentences को बनाने के लिए बोर्ड के बाद not जोड़ते हैं। कुछ ऐसे भी नकारात्मक वाक्य होते हैं जिनमें would के साथ not नहीं जोड़ा जाता है, बल्कि अन्य सहायक क्रिया के बाद not जोड़ा जाता है।
